A tree named Joshua
Daniel is ready to enjoy his summer vacations at the beach near his hometown of Trieste in North-Eastern Italy with his highschool friends. But grandpa Edo's death upsets his plans. His family inherits the farm on the Iseo Lake hillside and the group of kids accept to spend a few weeks in the countryside and help with the remodelling. Amid bricks, songs around the fire, trowels and paint fights, the 7 friends discover that the ancient farmhouse plaster hides more than just the stone wall. A few days of work are all it takes to bring back out an obscure disease buried for 4 centuries, which brings one of them to his deathbed. The doctors seem powerless, the young men disheartened. But where medicine fails, friendship may win, with a little help from a 17th century alchemist ancestor, a revealing dream and... the forest trees. |
